Accumulator Repair: Hydac or Headache

HYDAC BLADDER STEM: THREAD DAMAGED, ALL THE COMPLETE BLADDER MUST BE REPLACED.

Accumulator Repair: Hydac or Headache

Hydac accumulator bladders have this single piece design on the stem for a long time. Since the gas charging port is integrated into the stem and the whole bladder, it causes expensive replacement if it’s damaged. This happens again and again by excessive force during bladder changing or dropping to the floor.

The client broke the charging port accidentally, they needed to buy the entire bladder to fix it. If this happened on a 15G Viton bladder, they probably would have to pay extra $4000-$5000 to get a new one. Also, during the bladder assembly procedures at the factory, if the bladder drops to the floor, the thread can be easily damaged and the whole bladder is gone too.

We have not been using this type of design for a long time, replaced it with the two-piece stem design, which is much better than this Hydac type. Since the gas valve is separated from the bladder stem, it’s easy to replace and save huge possible expense when damaged.

Need Hydac type bladder repair kits with the same materials made but much lower price? Let us help you.
